Prosecco N Prose | A Book Club
Prosecco N Prose is a monthly virtual book club where literary analysis meets liquid courage. Former English teachers Wendy and Amy sip Prosecco (or something of the like), spill opinions, and gleefully overanalyze the books you love (and love to hate). Expect deep dives, hot takes, tangents, and a healthy disregard for “assigned reading rules.” We talk books, book clubs, and whatever else pops up in the glass. Requests encouraged. Judgement not included.

Short Stories of Dorothy Parker
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Wendy and Amy discuss two short stories by Dorothy Parker, "Such a Pretty Little Picture" and "Here We Are," and finally get a taste of prosecco in a Pretty Pink Prosecco Jello Shot. They find the funny and the tragic in an old and new marriage, ponder unhappy endings and roles women - and men! - were/are expected to play. Pop a cork to the Queen of the Quips!
