Short Stories of Tennessee Williams
Wendy and Amy discuss two short stories by one of the great American playwrights, Tennessee Williams - "The Vengeance of Nitocris" and "The Resemblance Between a Violin Case and a Coffin," and try a Peach Bellini Jello Shot. With one story loose historical fiction and the other possibly based on personal history/experience, they look at elements of Southern Gothic lit and themes of death and mad women. Pop a cork to historical retellings, mythical and personal!

Today's Recipe: Peach Bellini Jello Shots
Yield: 18-20 Jello shots
2 cups Peach Sparkling Water
2 (3-oz) packages Peach Jell-O
½ cup cold water
½ cup peach schnapps
1 cup Prosecco
Bring the peach sparkling water to a boil.
Empty the Jello powder into a large mixing bowl and add the boiling water. If your name is Amy, you will buy 1 6-oz orange flavored Jello because you don't pay attention in the grocery store. This was a good mistake as the flavor of peach was tamed by the orange flavored gelatin.
Continue stirring for two minutes or until the Jello is completely dissolved.
Add in the ½ cup of cold water, ½ cup Peach Schnapps, and 1 cup Prosecco.
Stir until mixed and pour into 2 oz cups filled ½ to ¾ of the way.
Place in fridge for at least 4 hours.
Top with small piece of peach gummy candy if desired when ready to serve. Amy found some yummy ones from the Wawa gas station. Link below!
